History of Central Elementary
Central Elementary, the oldest school building in Moore,
was established in 1947. During its history,
the building has housed Moore High School, Moore Jr. High,
Central Lower Elementary, and Central Elementary, respectively.
The school has undergone four renovations,
the latest being the addition of the first Pre-Kindergarten pod/saferoom in the District.
Central is one of the only schools
to be totally contained within the city limits of Moore.
